Hyundai Motor India Enters Commercial Mobility Space With Launch of Prime Hatchback and Sedan

Hyundai Motor India has officially stepped into the commercial mobility segment with the launch of two new models — the Prime Hatchback (Prime HB) and the Prime Sedan (Prime SD). With this move, the company aims to tap into the growing demand for reliable, fuel-efficient vehicles in fleet and commercial usage.

The Prime Hatchback has been priced at ₹5.99 lakh, while the Prime Sedan starts at ₹6.89 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). These competitive price points position the new offerings as attractive options for cab operators, fleet owners, and mobility service providers.

According to Hyundai, both models have been designed keeping high usage, durability, and low operating costs in mind. The vehicles focus on practicality, comfort, and efficiency—key factors for commercial customers—while retaining Hyundai’s trusted build quality and service network.

With the launch of Prime HB and Prime SD, Hyundai expands its footprint beyond personal mobility and strengthens its presence in India’s fast-evolving shared and commercial transportation ecosystem. The company expects the new range to benefit from rising urban mobility needs, app-based cab services, and increasing preference for organized fleet solutions.

This entry marks a strategic shift for Hyundai Motor India as it looks to diversify its product portfolio and unlock new growth avenues in the domestic automobile market.
