HDFC Mutual Fund Buys Over 0.5% Stake in Medi Assist Healthcare; CPP Investment Board Exits Powergrid InvIT

HDFC Mutual Fund has acquired over 0.5 percent stake in Medi Assist Healthcare, according to the latest exchange disclosures, drawing investor attention to the healthcare services company.

Meanwhile, CPP Investment Board (CPPIB) has fully exited its holding in Powergrid Infrastructure Investment Trust (Powergrid InvIT) through an exchange of units. Following the transaction, Powergrid InvIT witnessed a sharp reaction on the bourses.

The units of Powergrid InvIT declined 3.85 percent on Friday, closing at Rs 89.16, amid heavy trading volumes. The gap-down move reflects market reaction to the large unitholder exit and the resulting change in ownership structure.

The development highlights continued portfolio reshuffling by institutional investors, with selective buying in healthcare-linked stocks and exits from infrastructure investment trusts amid changing market dynamics.
